2023 AI Industry Trends and Data Relating to Artificial Intelligence
The AI Index Report from Stanford University
In this article, I will attempt to summarize the key findings of “The AI Index Report 2023” (almost 400 pages long). The AI Index is an “independent initiative at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), led by the AI Index Steering Committee, an interdisciplinary group of experts from across academia and industry. The annual report tracks, collates, distills, and visualizes data relating to artificial intelligence, enabling decision-makers to take meaningful action to advance AI responsibly and ethically with humans in mind.”
The AI Index Report aims to be the world’s most credible and authoritative source for AI data and insights, offering unbiased, rigorously vetted, and broadly sourced information for policymakers, researchers, executives, journalists, and the general public to better understand the complexities of the AI field.
